Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy - Back 2 your Best

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy is the term used to describe physiotherapy relating to problems with the muscles, bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, cartilage, vertebral discs and even nerves. Using an in depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and biomechanics the physiotherapist will assess the patient and reach an accurate physical diagnosis and plan and implement appropriate treatment and rehabilitation programmes. Common conditions treated are sports injuries, shoulder pain and injuries, knee problems from general wear and tear or arthritis to post operative rehabilitation, fractures and dislocations, back pain and sciatica, neck pain and headaches, and work related problems which are often posturally related.

We have an enviable record of treating a vast array of individuals, from elite sports professionals with Harlequins RL and England RFU to the general public in NHS outpatient settings and combine this expertise to provide immediate, focused, individualised treatment and rehabilitation in a private setting which is tailored to the specific patients needs.

Anyone who has difficulties with their mobility or suffers from musculoskeletal pain, whether it is a sprained ankle, stiff and sore back or shoulder, a new hip or knee joint, weakness or reduced fitness after an operation, or is suffering trauma after a sporting injury will benefit from seeing a physiotherapist.

At SIDI-PHYSIO we will perform a detailed examination to determine your overall physiology and function. We will then perform indicated treatments which may include mobilisations, manipulations, specific exercise therapy, electrotherapy, education and massage. We will discuss our diagnosis and suggestions for treatment as well as giving you an estimated time scale in which you will feel better. We will also determine what is causing your problem and whether there are any contributing factors that need to be addressed. You will be given an individualised Home Exercise Programme including detailed pictures and instructions and a daily exercise grid to be ticked off to facilitate your performances and to allow you to monitor improvements throughout the programme and your response to the treatment.

If you have any questions regarding treatment at SIDI-PHYSIO or you wish to book an appointment do not hesitate to contact us.
